Abstract

The article considers a process of light distribution in a multimode optical wave guide which is used in the fiber-optical sensors of pressure. The paper also considers Maxwell's equations for the simplified geometry of a bend of optical fiber. The authors use methods of statistical modeling, for example the Monte-Carlo method, for calculation of a set of trajectories, relying on the solution of purely geometrical problems of finding intersection points and using conditions of Fresnel in case of a refracting point of reflection or a reflection condition from a surface with two radiuses of curvature in case of a tunneling point of reflection. The result of work will allow to design and simulate a sensitive element of the sensor effectively.
